Probably the best-placed village in North Wales for anyone heading into the mountains. Sitting where Snowdonia's main ranges converge, Capel Curig puts everything within reach.

Caffi Siabod is 100 metres down the lane — about two minutes on foot. The Tyn y Coed, one of the great Welsh mountain pubs, takes about 7 minutes to walk there (and about 10 minutes back!).

"We’ve just returned from 4 nights at Siabod with our 2 dogs. What a beautiful home, in a beautiful location. The cottage was sparkling clean, and really cosy. Ian was a great host, providing useful information and the cottage was easy to find. It was peaceful with fantastic views although you do need a car to get out and about. There is a cafe and a pub both in walking distance which we made the most of. The hot tub was an added bonus and delightful after a long day walking. We’d definitely return - it was an absolute pleasure."
